Exercises
Overview
Artemis offers different exercise types to help you practice and demonstrate your knowledge. Each exercise type has its own characteristics and ways of submission.
Exercise Types
Artemis supports the following exercise types:
- Quiz Exercises: Test your knowledge with multiple-choice, drag-and-drop, and short-answer questions
- Modeling Exercises: Create UML diagrams and other models using the integrated Apollon editor
- Programming Exercises: Write and submit code solutions with automated testing and feedback
- Textual Exercises: Write free-text answers to open-ended questions
- File Upload Exercises: Submit files such as documents, images, or other content

All exercises share common properties such as release dates, due dates, and assessment due dates. Learn more about exercise organization in the General Information section.
Common Exercise Features
All exercises share these common features:
- Release Date: The date when the exercise becomes visible to you
- Due Date: The deadline for submitting your solution
- Assessment Due Date: The date when you can view feedback from instructors
- Points: Points you can earn, which may count toward your course score or serve as bonus points

Select an exercise type from the sidebar to learn more about how to participate and submit your solutions.

Make sure to submit your solutions before the due date. Late submissions may not be accepted depending on your instructor's settings.
